Hiblow Australia Pty Ltd ("we") handles personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
- Name, phone number, email address and business name
- Delivery and billing address, and delivery postcode
- Details of your enquiry or order, including pump model and photos of pump labels you send us
- For trade accounts: the details in your credit application
We do not collect or store full card numbers. Card payments are handled by Stripe.
How we collect it
- When you send an enquiry, the contact form or a label photo on our website
- When you buy online (Stripe passes us your name, contact details, delivery address and what you ordered)
- When you call, email or apply for a trade account
Your cart and enquiry list are stored only in your own web browser until you send them.
Why we use it
To answer enquiries, process and deliver orders, provide warranty service, manage trade accounts, and keep business records.
Who we share it with
- Stripe, to process payments (Stripe may store data in the United States and other countries)
- Australia Post and other couriers, to deliver your order
- Our IT, email and accounting providers, to run our business
We do not sell your information.
How we keep it safe
Orders and enquiries are stored in our password-protected website and business systems. Access is limited to our staff.
No method of sending information over the internet is completely secure, so take care with what you include in emails. We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires (for example, tax records for 5 years), then delete or de-identify it.
Dealing with us anonymously
You can ask general questions without giving your name. To supply products, process payments or handle a warranty claim, we need your contact details.
Cookies and website data
Our website uses only the cookies and browser storage it needs to work, such as remembering your cart and enquiry list. It loads its fonts from Google, which means your browser connects to Google's servers (which may be overseas). We do not currently use advertising or tracking cookies. If we add analytics later, we will update this policy.
Direct marketing
We only send marketing emails or SMS with your consent, as required by the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). Every message identifies us and includes a way to unsubscribe. You can also opt out at any time by contacting us.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask to see or correct the information we hold about you by contacting sales@hiblow.com.au or 02 9457 8622. If you have a privacy complaint, contact us first and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner on 1300 363 992.
